Raymond De George was born on December 12, 1924, in Ohio, his father, Pasquale, was 30 and his mother, Carolina, was 27. Raymond first entered the service in 1943 during WWII and served 7 months in overseas combat Raymond also served in the Marines as Maintenance Management Specialist in the early 1950's with one of his duty stations being Camp LeJeune. He died on January 22, 2016, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 91, and was buried in Springfield, Pennsylvania at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery.

Charles Theodore Kurtz 1851-1930

Charles Theodore Kurtz was born on November 9, 1851, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, his father, Wm, was 25 and his mother, Ann, was 21. He worked several occupations then settled on being a cobbler. He married Mary Ann Bauer on February 1, 1881, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. They had seven children in 20 years. He died on January 24, 1930, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, at the age of 78, and was buried there.

Christina Heppler 1772-1835

Christina Heppler was born on January 24, 1772, in Öfingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, her father, Johann, was 44, and her mother, Ursula, was 38.
She married Johannes Martin Bossert on October 17, 1797, in her hometown. They had eight children: Anna, Johann Jacob, Andreas, Christina, John, Elisabeth, Maria & Martin in 23 years. She died on June 1, 1835, at the age of 63.

Carolina Volpone 1897-1987


Carolina Volpone was born on January 25, 1897, in Italy, the daughter of Ann and Antonio. She married in Pasquale De George in 1919. She had four sons and one daughter with Pasquale De George between 1921 and 1934. Her oldest son Harry was born in Italy where all the others were born in Ashtabula Ohio.
The De George's moved from Ohio and rented a home at 2115 Dickinson Street then later purchasing their house at 2216 Tasker Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pasquale continued in his shoemaking business and Carolina kept house. She died in February 1987 at the age of 90.

Lot W Price was born on January 30, 1830, in Rush, Indiana, his father, Jacob was from Virginia and was 37 and his mother, Hannah, born in Somerset Pennsylvania, was 30.

Around 1855 he met Zilpha Ann Shinn and they later moved to Hardin Iowa and were married in 1856. They had six children together, Eva, Gilbert, Adra, Mary Eliza, Emma Etta and Ezra. Zilpha died a year after giving birth to Ezra in 1869. 


In 1873 Lot married Paulina Catherine Hauser and they had three children together, Clarenece, Theren and Mabel Lezeeta. They maintained their farm for many years after that until he died on April 18, 1913, in Whitten, Iowa, having lived a long life of 83 years.








Anne Marie Courtney 1902-1990

On January 23, 1902 at 737 East Third Street in South Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Anne Marie Courtney was born. Her father, Patrick, was 24, and her mother, Marion, was 24.

After her father was blacklisted from Bethlehem Steel after a strike by the Union, they moved to 2308 South 20th St, Philadelphia in the early 1910's. By 1930, the Courtney family had moved to Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania and Anna had started working as a stenographer in a business office.

By 1940 she was a supervisor at the local transit authority. She had four brothers (Joseph 1903-1962,Patrick 1907-1907, Francis 1909-1909,John 1919-2003)and two sisters, one being my grandmother Helen. Also in 30's & 40's Anna's Grandmom Bridget McCarty Rayeur lived with her along with her aunt Kate Rayeur.

Growing up just a few blocks away we(me, Bob and Beth) would go over to the house and help with chores. Aunt Anna I knew from since I could remember was in charge of the house. My great father Patrick was 90 when I was born and she and her other sister Marion cared for him. Anna and Marion were the inspiration and original knowledge base for me getting into genealogy. She died on March 7, 1990, at the age of 88.

Robert Turner 1871-1959

Robert Turner was born on January 31, 1871, in Pudsey, Yorkshire, England, his father, Moses, was 43 and his mother, Sarah, was 38. In 1893 he immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Robert worked as a cashier at a bank. He lived with my 2 great grandfather and also his brother Jotham Turner until 1907 when he purchased a house in East Oak Lane, Philadelphia. In 1909 his wealthy Uncle Edwin Harrison died and bequeathed $40,000 dollars to Robert. That is equivelant to over one million in today's market.

He married Edith Fulton Rink in 1911 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He became the president of the Mechanics National Bank in Burlington New Jersey. They had one child Barbara Ann during their marriage.In 1930 while Barbara was studying at Cornell University her mother Edith died. She later married Charles Mead Jr. Robert took to running the bank and started to travel frequently to England and abroad. He died on August 25, 1959, in Burlington, New Jersey, at the age of 88.

Thomas Cornelius Ferron was born on October 27, 1913, his father, Thomas, was 29 and his mother, Nora Kelleher, was 37. He married Margaret C. Lynaugh on Dec 1, 1936, near Parkesburg, Chester County, Pennsylvania.At that time Thomas worked building Pennsylvania's 1st highway. For the first few years of Marriage they lived with Margaret's parents in Sadsbury, Chester County. He later went to work for Lukens Steel. They had one child during their marriage. He died on January 3, 1954, in Valley Township, Pennsylvania, at the age of 40.
