Augusta Catherine Schwakoff 1890-1919

Augusta Katherine was born today in 1890 to Emil and Lillian Bernheiser Schwakoff. She was their first born seven, those being Francis1897, George1899, Helen1903, Corine1905, Virginia1905 and Albert1908.
When Augusta was 20 years old she was working as a binder in a Philadelphia book store. Her soon to be husband John Torrens (age 23) was working as an inspector for the steam railroad. She lived in South Philly and he in West so I can't tell you how they met. I do know they were married in New Jersey in 1913.
In February 1914, they would have a daughter, Thelma. In the winter of 1916, Thelma would suffer from pneumonia and die on February 11th. She was laid to rest at Holy Cross cemetery in Yeadon, PA a few days later.
From here out I am not sure what happens in the timeline. I do know that in 1917 John would register for the draft in WWI. He would be assigned Company F of the 4th Supply Train that departed for Lorraine, France on 26th of May 1918.
In December of 1918 Augusta would be taken ill and would die two months later in February 1919 of pulmonary thrombosis.Augusta was laid to rest with her daughter at Holy Cross. From what I can find, Augusta's widow, John may have remarried and he would die in January 1943.
Sad story but her story nonetheless.
