John Davidson 1814-1896

John Davidson was born on January 16, 1814, in Swedesboro, New Jersey, his father, Thomas(b1778), was 35 and his mother, Elizabeth Hurff(b1778), was 35. John was their 8th of their 11 children. The Davidson's were neighbors to the Justice's and and John would marry the girl next door, Ann Justice(b1811) on January 28, 1836. They would go on to have nine children: Thomas, Isaac, Sarah, Mary, John, James, Mulford, Susanna and Samuel. They remained in the Swedesboro area and John would become a Reverend in town. Ann would die in 1878. John would marry again to Anna Eliza Fries, 23 years his junior, before 1880. He died on March 5, 1896, having lived a long life of 82 years. He was brother to Sarah Shinn Davidson Norton (b1803)
